Privacy policy
What EUV Insight is
EUV Insight is a website and an application for designing thin-film optics. If you use account sync, saved designs and their attached data are also stored on our servers.
What we collect
Our hosting provider keeps standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp) for security and operations, retained for a limited period under the provider's own policy.
Analytics
We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how the site and the application are used: pages viewed, features opened, device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google sets cookies for this and processes the data under Google's privacy policy. Your layer stacks, settings and results are never sent to analytics. You can block these scripts with a content blocker or your browser's tracking protection without affecting the application.
Product activity
For signed-in accounts, we also keep first-party daily counts of workspace and analysis-tab visits and a last-activity timestamp to understand which parts of the application are useful. Daily activity counts are retained for up to 90 days and are available only in the owner dashboard. These records do not include layer stacks, parameter values, uploaded measurements or optical constants. Account-access changes made by the owner are recorded in a private audit log without passwords or authentication codes.
Data stored on your device
Presets, preferences and saved designs are stored in your browser's local storage so they survive a reload. If account sync is enabled, saved designs can also be stored with your account. You can remove them at any time by clearing site data for this site in your browser.
When you submit the contact form, we receive your name, email address, optional phone number, selected topic and message. Resend processes the email and delivers it to our support mailbox, hosted by Google. We keep correspondence to reply and follow up; submitting the form does not subscribe you to marketing. No designs or account details are automatically attached. We keep hashed email and IP identifiers temporarily to limit abusive submissions.
Accounts and sync
When you create an account, we store your email address, a password hash, and the security records needed for sign-in, password recovery and optional two-factor authentication. Account sync stores saved designs, including any measurement or material data you attach. Stripe processes subscription payments; we store billing identifiers and subscription status, not full card details.
